EL EVATA announced on the 19th that Chairman Young-il Kim attended the "Sustainable Environment & Renewable Energy" Session at ITC Maurya Hotel in New Delhi, India, as a representative of EL EVATA (EL B&T India), its joint venture in India.

EL EVATA partners with EL B&T, an electric vehicle manufacturer, and specializes in rechargeable battery production and R&D.

The "Sustainable Environment & Renewable Energy" Session was convened as one of the G20 events to address concerns surrounding the environment, energy, and climate change. Distinguished Indian universities, businesses, and government organizations were in attendance.

Officials from the relevant departments of the Indian government participated in policy-making discussions.

After the session, Chairman Kim received an invitation from Mr. Shri Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Honorable Minister of State (for consumer affairs, food and public distribution and environment, forest and climate change), to visit the ministry.  The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the localization and production of EL EVATA’s battery and electric vehicle products in India.

According to the company, at the meeting, Chairman Kim requested for cooperation with EL EVATA's (EL B&T India) battery and electric vehicle business in India and agreed to receive cooperation at the government level.

The company also mentioned that Mr. Shri Ashwini Kumar Choubey requested EL EVATA to develop electric motorcycles, electric rickshaws, electric boats, drones, etc. equipped with EL EVATA's LFP batteries and provide relevant samples promptly. Furthermore, he decided to establish the EL EVATA India office in New Delhi and EL EVATA's Battery and Electric Vehicle Research Center at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

"At this event and during our meeting with the minister, we obtained reassurance of the Indian government's support for our business there. We anticipate our battery and electric vehicle operations in India to flourish," stated a representative from EL EVATA.
